It wasn’t like I could see the finish line of a race, instead it was more of a promise of being carried through and seeing the beauty in the process. I think this was significant because the horizon isn’t really an ending. As I was trying to see, God took a deep breath and softly blew across the waters, pushing away the fog to reveal a beautiful sunset and the horizon. I couldn’t see the horizon, the sky, or anything beyond the waves. I saw the ocean but it was covered in fog. This morning, during a time of prayer, God gave me this visual picture. We are making some pretty big life decisions right now and no matter which direction we look, we seem to get different advice and thoughts and frankly it’s creating more fog and confusion. Ever felt that way? Like no matter which direction you look, it’s difficult to see past your own nose? That’s how my brain has been feeling lately. I’ve never been so scared to make a left turn.
